Grandma's...again
Yesterday I drove Will to Ellensburg and met up with Grandma Strege. We ate at McDonald's then I put him in her car and said goodbye. He wanted to know if I was coming with him but I told him I had to go home to daddy. He seemed ok with that. As they drove off I got really sad though. It's nice having the break but I still miss the little guy. I miss having him come into our room in the morning with that cute look on his face, his eyes half open and his hair a mess. I miss him saying "I love you mommy!" or pulling the chair into the kitchen to help with anything and everything. I miss seeing him walk around in his big boy underwear or doing his naked boy run after bath each night. Talking to him on the phone makes it even worse. But I know it's only a few days. We are headed to the cabin this weekend and grandma and grandpa are bringing him up there so we get to see him on Friday. In the meantime we are going to enjoy the quite and go to a movie. We will probably go see Evan Almighty tomorrow night. Woo hoo! We haven't been to a movie in sooooo long!

Appt. Update
I went and saw Dr. Stork yesterday and Will came with me. He was such a good boy. He just sat there eating pretzels while she listened for the heartbeat. She asked if he was always so quiet and I started laughing. Hardley!!
I gained 6 lbs :( I'm up 21 total, which isn't bad, but I was hoping not to gain that much in a month. I'm going to have to try and be good the last few weeks.
Here is my 32 week belly pic.

Happy Father's Day!
Happy Father's day daddy!!
Will just adores his daddy and loves when he gets home at night. I think his favorite part is tackling him, which I'm glad he tackles him and not me!
On Sunday Will and I woke up early and snuck downstairs. He was being such a good boy and being really quite. I had wrapped Neil's present in white paper and had Will color on it, which he thought was a lot of fun. then we made some pancakes for daddy and then took his present upstairs. Neil had no idea what was going on. Will thought the whole thing was really cool. So we all had pancakes together then went to church. Will was a good boy all day.

Poop!
Friday was a big day in the Strege household. Will pooped in the potty!! It's actually not the first time he's done it but what was different is this time he told us he had to go. He was wearing his big boy underwear and said he needed to poop. I took him upstairs to his potty and read him books. It took him awhile but he finally did it. He was so excited! The next night he told us about 6 times he needed to poop and kept sitting on his potty but nothing every came out. I think he was working himself up and just couldn't get it out. But it was a start! Before the only way we could get him to go was if we had him sit on it every so often, then he would usually just pee.
I think wearing the big boy underwear at home has helped because he hates getting the pee and poop on himself.

Potty training
While Will was at my mom's house she bought him his own potty. We just had a seat that we put on our toilet but it seems he likes this better. He has gone on it quite a few times and thinks because it's his own it's pretty cool. So I have a new strategy now. Whenever he is at home, he's in underwear. So after work I take him to use the potty and then put them on. He only seems to want to go on the potty if you say you are going to, which with me being pregnant works out nicely. I'm going every 5 minutes these days. So I will go and he'll go, then we wash our hands together. He did have one accident last night and hasn't gone poop yet but it's only a matter of time! I'm so hoping he'll be out of diapers by the time Gabby is born. His best buddy at daycare Kyle, is toally potty trained now and wears underwear to daycare, so I'm hoping that will help with his motivation. Crossing my fingers!

Over the river and through the woods...
Memorial day weekend we went to my parents house to paint our kitchen cabinets. Will had so much fun! He couldn't get enough of playing outside, riding bikes, you name it. We decided that on Monday we would head home and he'd stay behind so Neil and I could paint the bases of the cabinet in peace. I was worried that he'd get homesick but boy was I wrong!
He rode grandpa's tractors a few times, played outside on the slip and slide, went to a party at Uncle Tom's, went to the store with Grandma. And we heard all about it when we'd call him at night. We would get about a 20 second summary of his day before he quickly said "I love you, bye!" and took off to play again. I like to think that he really missed me but he didn't want to tell me to spare my feelings. Yeah right.
Here are pics of the kitchen before and after:

The countdown is on
Ok, I'm offically freaking out. I only have 9 weeks left, 8 1/2 actually. I'm so not ready. I haven't done anything in the nursery and we probably won't do much since they are sharing. I don't know where I'm going to put her clothes. And what is freaking me out most of all is getting everything done at work before I leave. I say this as I sit here typing this while I'm at work!
If I don't get everything done before she's born I hope I come back and read this post and give my self a quick kick in the arse!
